do you have art? do you want to put it on a website, that *you* own, for cheap-as-free?
im writing a program for that! you just drag and drop your art into a folder, and run "galleryify", and it generates html for each image, and adds everything to a thumbnail gallery. you can group with tags and style everything however you want, too.
it outputs static html, so you can upload it to neocities or nekoweb or basically any free web host. the tradeoff for being cheap-as-free is that there's no server-side interactions (e.g. no comment section).
i need testers! if this sounds good then please comment and let me know your level of comfort with art and with html.

if you just wanna know "the stack", this is made with NodeJS and Eleventy. if that doesn't mean anything to you, dont worry about it.
EDIT: wow, a lot of you said you'd be interested in testing! Okay, I've just put some usage instructions up on this page, please try it out and let me know how it goes!

One aspect of this I can't stop thinking about is the example and precedent set by this administration when Musk took over and started joining all these federal databases that had previously been kept separate for about 100+ reasons over time.
Kind of secondary to those alarming developments was the fact that all of the safeguards we put in place to ensure Security 101 things like "need to know access" and audibility were just tossed out the window, and really haven't been observed by this administration since. It's as if the entirety of what they teach you in Security 101, 201, 301, etc, is just a suggestion.
Also, where THE FUCK did this data go? Who has it? How can anyone be sure who does? Is it still being used? How will it be used going forward?

@mtrc thus, I ask: is it possible to construct an algorithm that allows a person with normal human cognitive abilities and tendencies (and they possibly have access to excessive computer processing power) the ability to converse in Toki Pona and guarantee that they never accidentally learn any of it at all not even how to say a basic greeting without the aid of the algorithm? @mtrc one might propose we pick a dignified language with a complex history and lots of sophisticated characters and so on but I believe we wouldn't know for sure because we'd be relying on underestimating John Searle's cognitive abilities, and as my grandma always said never bet against John Searle (my grandma never said this but suppose she did for the sake of rigor).
So I propose instead, we select Toki Pona for this thought experiment instead as it's known for being fairly simple (3/)

@mtrc and let's also suppose that through a series of improbable events we have been tasked with the improbable task of creating an algorithm for John Searle to execute that simulates being a fluent speaker in a given language, but it is absolutely paramount that we do not accidentally teach John Searle how to read or speak the language under any circumstances, such that he can converse in the language but may never understand it. @mtrc ok how about this: Suppose through some exciting new developments we created a way of perfectly simulating John Searle from an old MRI or something which includes handily accomplishing all facets of the human experience including but not limited to the ability to learn, understand information and context, be curious, experience boredom, live, laugh, love, and so on. I have quite a few projects I'm super excited to publish in the coming weeks. But honestly, the main thing that's consuming my brain cycles story-wise is a year-end piece about just how badly this administration has fscked our cybers in so many ways.
This won't be a polemical soliloquy. I intend to document all of the specific actions this administration has taken that appear to weaken, redirect, or fully castrate our cyber capabilities. Your assistance would be appreciated (and possibly noted).
