Good morning Fedi friends!
What a difference a year makes.
A mere 12 months ago, when I saw a photo of a ๐งโ or heard the word "penguin", I immediately thought of the cute black and white seabird.
Now, in December 2025, when I see a penguin plushie or a mural drawing, I immediately think of #Tux and #Linux... the world of FOSS... freedom, digital sovereignty and independence from Big Tech.
The photo below is of a plushie belonging to my little one... she picked it this morning for the walk to nursery school.
My plan for this morning: drafting the first post in the miniseries about self-hosting from the POV of a newbie... my one year anniversary is coming up next week!

Sul set di Schiavone protestano gli ambientalisti. Le riprese della serie ambientata in Valle d'Aosta hanno coinvolto 150 comparse davanti al Palazzo della Regione
Una manifestazione ambientalista davanti al Palazzo regionale, in piazza Deffeyes ad Aosta. Ci sono poliziotti, giornalisti, telecamere. E poi arriva lui, Rocco Schiavone. Molti i fan che aspettavano il burbero vicequestore romano.
Dal centro del capoluogo alla Stella di Pila, sono partite le riprese della settima stagione della fortunata serie Rai, tratta dai romanzi di Antonio Manzini. Si andrร avanti fino a maggio.
Intuiamo che la sceneggiatura possa essere tratta dal romanzo Elp, in cui Manzini narra di un imprenditore di una fabbrica di pellami ucciso in un attentato attribuito agli ambientalisti di un Esercito di Liberazione del Pianeta. Ma per saperne di piรน e vedere in azione l'amato poliziotto interpretato da Marco Giallini dovremo aspettare probabilmente il prossimo anno.

Il progetto รจ prodotto da Kevin J Walsh (Manchester By the Sea, House of Gucci) e Gotham Chopra, che nel 2024 fu dietro la macchina da presa del documentario in quattro parti 'Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story', in occasione del 40/o anniversario della band. Cody Brotter si occuperร della sceneggiatura.
