@Lognormal_guy I think as long as the personal and monetary incentives persist, that content will unfortunately continue to thrive. SO! **IMO** on the micro-level: talk to kids about this stuff and be honest about your feelings and concerns. And on the macro-level: challenge the incentives—the algorithms and the platformers. which is what I think @_elena is attempting to do!
@OKdad I already got my daughter to be completely turned off by Barbie dolls at age 3, totally rejecting them (after I explained to her that they have impossible dimensions that do not exist IRL and if a real woman looked like a Barbie she wouldn't be able to engage in a lot of fun sports, because she'd be too frail). Gotta do the same with Big Tech tools
