@box464 😆 I once sat near a young woman on a flight with a big sized smartphone with full brightness on… it was impossible to miss what she was doing. The amount of actions it took to add specific stickers, animations and text (with certain fonts) to an Instagram Story convinced me then and there that the argument « the Fediverse is too difficult for normies » is just a lazy, tired old trope.
If there’s a will, there’s a way.

@aeva yes. i think it was my mum who ultimately had the last word. i don't simply fall in line when told to so you can imagine what an achievement of her it was to make me stop fighting forever. and i think she only could because she had a very similar phase in her youth.
(you never get rid of it completely. there is always a danger of getting swept up in the moment.)

@jana I'm usually using them only as 4g routers. I'm usually managing the failover at a higher level, using the main router (so directing the traffic to the 4g one only if the main routes are down). Sometimes I use the 4g as a "power up" solution, when clients have some traffic spikes. Sometimes, I send all the "guest" traffic to 4g, to keep the main traffic paths empty

@lritter actually i don't think that narrows it down, there's like a lot of parables involving wolves. what is with wolves that they're in so many parables?

@lritter regardless there's a whole parable about what stops people from coming to the aid of vulnerable community members and it involves wolves and stuff

@lritter having not been there i can only speculate, but there could be other factors at play like whoever came to her support being someone whose trust she had earned, and/or then correctly recognizing you were an asshole

@jana it depends. If it's a simple 4g failover and the coverage is good, a MikroTik hAP ax lite LTE6 is more than enough. Otherwise, a MikroTik Chateu or, if the client has other devices, I use them, too.
