It's been over 20 years of majority right wing governments in The Netherlands. Literally every demographic complains about the cost of living crisis, the insane housing shortage, poverty increasing significantly, the pension age now being 72, more homelessness, the unfair medical deductible, people needing foodbanks, increased stress, and the wealth gap being one of the worst in the world.
So guess what the people voted for this time? Jup, right wing parties.

And yes I consider D66 right wing. Let's hope they'll consider a coalition with PvdA-GL.

Up until now, I thought Netherlands was more progressive than this. 72 for retirement age? This is nuts! All the other things you point out are very concerning, too.
I now understand that it's not just the weather that you're wanting to get away from...
At least your government has the concept of "coalitions" and it's not a two-party circle-jerk like in USA.

@lritter ok tavy told me how to fix it. kclock appears to be quite nice actually!

Better than store bought, worse than proper homemade. I put the ingredients in in the order of the recipe and should have done it the way all the recipes in my manual for my breadmaker do it, instead. All liquids first, then dry. The mix wasn't quite complete here...so there are some patches of weird texture. But, the edges kinda have that crispy cookie texture I love so much about pound cake, so I'm calling it a win.

@lritter ok sorry for the delay, i forgot about your request, but i was reminded when tavy suggested kclock last night. I gave it a try tonight and it segfaults when I try to run it, so unfortunately this means I cannot at this time determine whether or not kclock is a worse program than gnome clocks. Under normal circumstances, one would probably consider immediately segfaulting to be a significantly negative quality for a program to have, but I think that could improve gnome clocks.
