I think I need to add "Ax" to the top reasons people lose on Alone. But, I don't know how you make it out there without an ax. Maybe folks who can't work an ax shouldn't try to live in the woods.
I have a good feeling about Callie, even if she has already started Projects. She seems like the kind of person that will be OK alone, even if I'm not entirely confident she'll be able to feed herself. She also doesn't have that hurried/frantic/frustrated kind of energy that leads to someone injuring themselves or otherwise doing something that sends them home in a hurry and in distress.
Britt is maybe too much of a tough guy to make it. He seems to know his way around the outdoors, though.

This season is the first time I've heard anyone mention preserving food. Megan mentioned preserving berries and plants, Britt mentioned preserving fish. Seems like an obvious thing when you know you're going to be there in winter if you want to win, but it apparently took three seasons to discover the idea.

It's so weird that so many of these folks fail because they just get bored with fishing being slow. It's the only way Britt has gotten any protein, and yet, when he didn't catch any fish for a couple days, he went all in on snares. Same with Greg, who wasted days trying to trap a fox!? What are you gonna do with a fox?
You never caught a single rabbit/fox/boar, but that's what you're spending time on? Ah, yep, I predicted right about Britt. Tough guy needs to be in control.

Also, this season might not be for me. I'm OK seeing people kill fish, and even mice, for food, but less comfortable with higher animals being killed. Seems like we're going to see some large mammals being hunted this season.

History channel website has additional video like the prep and camera training they get before being dropped. But you can’t really go to the website unless you’ve finished the season and directly go to a specific season (use search engine) because spoilers. They assume you already watched it and kept up. -

Callie, I believed in you. I really thought you were gonna be the one. But, a sweat lodge and wind chimes has told me this cannot end well.

@sdm there's a chicken place on the way between school and home and when I go fetch my daughter she always checks if I have my wallet with me because the roasted chicken smell at lunch time is irresistible
