Sapevo che è più rapida l'elicitazione della #paura in presenza di stimoli importanti per la sopravvivenza, una dinamica che non scegliamo. Ma solo quando mi sono trovato a soccorrere una persona anziana, caduta rovinosamente dalle scale, ho potuto farne esperienza. Il sangue sulle scale era talmente copioso che potevo sentirne l'odore, ed è stato l'olfatto, molto più della vista, a far salire un senso di paura e angoscia terribili e difficili da collocare perché non riguardavano me ma un altro.
