Took an old dual-boot Acer laptop out of mothballs last night. Hasn’t been booted in 3 years. Boot windows. Stuff doesn’t work quite right. Spend half the day dealing with updates and finally that partition is a working system.
Boot Xubuntu. Everything still works perfectly and smoothly. Run apt-update; 35 minutes and a reboot and everything is up to date and still works smoothly.
But sure, Linux is fragile and hard to use
