@Tutanota The internet is failing society. Social media is controlled by nazis and oligarchs. Anonymous botpeople push citizens towards right-wing and racist ideologies. Foreign corporations and dictatorships are taking over the public discourse in Europe and elsewhere.

I am not surprised that age verification is popular. And I think more people are going to demand even more verification — the bots fucking suck and hardly anyone in tech is interested in looking at the problem.

These countries listed here consider kids under 16 sub-human.
These laws are nothing more than taking kids away from their parents, telling them they failed their job and they're not good enough to care for their own kids.
These laws do not protect kids as people. They protect them as things. Things to be indoctrinated, things to be exploited.
Remember who always screams about "You'll own nothing and be happy?" The very same people are now taking away the ownership of probably the most valued contribution to your life.
