@HarriettMB @fkamiah17 If the statistics on cops are anything to go by they almost surely abuse their families, and the word "family" usually involves children. Adult spouses free to leave are generally contemptible, adult spouses who keep kids in their vicinity are scum, but we can do a lot better than blaming children for being born to the wrong parents, or siblings from being born with the wrong siblings, and we don't need to strand people with their abusive relatives. Making up blood guilt is kind of Their Thing, we don't need to do that.

We did some pretty awful shit all across Eurasia, Africa, the Americas, and Australia-the-continent as a species amongst ourselves before Europe was on the map all that much, let alone showed up to claim all the credit and resources. One or two diseases going differently or different weather might have led to it elsewhere and then Europe would have been "those barbarians who had to be settled." We-of-European-stock aren't that exceptional, good or ill.
