@neil @Edent I've got a big collection of (mostly) BBC radio plays that I've accumulated over the years of recording them, and, while there's a lot of variability in quality, there's a lot of absolutely brilliant ones. Mostly, I listen to them while cooking, and I did a lot while commuting in the car a few years back.

@Edent I got His Dark Materials read by Philip Pullman himself accompanied by a voice cast from a charity shop. It's nearly 14 hours long. I tend to listen in the car on long-ish journeys, but that took weeks. The BBC productions of Pratchett, Douglas Adams and Gaiman are as excellent as @neil suggest. I'm still hunting/saving for the LoTR production with Ian Holm as Frodo

@Edent re: doing retirement wrong. It took me two and a half years after leaving my gig to feel like I was really adjusted to the new reality. Curious to see if you have a similar trajectory.

@Edent My blog was text-only for about a year until I redesigned it a few weeks ago. I kept the text-only posts though, adding “.txt" to URLs.
For posts with lots of images, it still looks good.

@henryk sure, but there have been a *lot* of changes to Android in that time. Both in terms of UI and security model.

Hai ragione, ma devo dire che nonostante la retorica di alcuni impresentabili personaggi, mediamente vedo che il comportamento in strada sta migliorando. Purtroppo al contempo aumenta il tasso di motorizzazione ed aumentano dimensione e peso dei veicoli.Ma quel che è più importante è che ora sei a casa e puoi riposare e riprenderti!

@ben several of my normie acquaintances have started newsletters, lamenting the lack of reach of Instagram et al. Added me without permission. And now they regularly share « blog posts » that always try to sell me something at the end (their services, books, seminars, etc.). Cherry on top is that if reply with a thoughtful comment about what they wrote, they rarely write back. It’s all about money money money.
Not surprisingly, none of them are on the Fediverse.

@vmbrasseur And in mobile Firefox: that it finally becomes truly FLOSS and can be published reproducibly in F-Droid. And that connections run smoothly or reload automatically (similar to Cromite), even with unstable internet.

@vmbrasseur Personally, I would like to see Mozilla return to its core, the Firefox browser, and fix long-standing bugs and ensure compatibility with Chromium (for example, video conferences run more smoothly in Chromium, and websites can access USB and serial devices with Chromium). I also miss the FTP protocol support in Firefox. Support for the Gemini protocol would also be nice.
