I will call "No Kings" a big success. Multiple outlets are reporting on millions of participants. It was bigger than the one in the summer.
A lot of people participating in something like this for the first time.
It was national and even a little international (Thank you London and Dublin)
No one can say the president or his regime has broad popular support or a mandate.

Now, there's the task of convincing billionaires they had better stop funding fascist movements globally... or else.

Can we do particular strikes first maybe?

@futurebird @Dave_Goldsmith @Npars01 lol. Strikes are great when you have a solid organization, resources banked to keep strikers afloat without working income, and a clear set of achievable demands. Much like military strikes it is diplomacy by other means, not just an end of itself to cause reciprocal pain.

Makes sense. Who is organizing? Big labor? These one and done protests are unlikely to move the needle...

@Dave_Goldsmith @futurebird @Npars01 thats the thing, if any group is organizing with purpose of a general strike I'm not aware of it, I just hear chants for it from leftist and online nerds who want "one weird trick" to fix our major dysfunction, to cause pain for the people causing our trouble, but don't respect the work needed for the tactic to be effective.

I'm thinking a general strike can be a one-day affair. It should not have to cause trauma to workers. I don't know is it ridiculous to imagine one day a month we shut down the economy?

The covid lockdowns are an example of how billionaires respond to such closures.
https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2020/03/dan-patrick-coronavirus-grandparentsThey funded an enormous disinformation campaign hectoring people to die to save the economy.
Koch Network has funded legislation to outlaw strikes as a type of tortious interference, all while waging economic warfare on blue cities using ICE raids.

What should we do instead of general strikes and boycotts?
