Did some fiddling around with the options and apparently disabling XInput fixed the issue.
WITH Xinput, the image showed up in the wrong page (which I why I didn't see it) and I couldn't move it or resize it. Disabling Xinput apparently fixes this issue. I'm on Debian unstable, X session, AwesomeWM as window manager. Let's see if I can cook up a bug report on this.

I had a discussion lately regarding smartphones with a buddy. He has a Pine phone IIRC, and I have an iPhone. I’m a huge FOSS advocate, and I have to live with that cognitive dissonance of using a highly proprietary phone.
However, when I look at FOSS phones, I feel that I would lose a lot of services and features. Anyone has leads / learning material? @Gina maybe?
