Oh noes. When I was browsing

@h3artbl33d I'm waiting for the day the vibe users will start complaining with the vibe coders. Tons of processing power and energy that could be used for making people's lives better will be vanished for...nothing

@stefano @h3artbl33d I jumped on the ruby on rails bandwagon briefly, to discover all the libs were pre-alpha pretending to be rock star. then Node repeated the pattern and I was avoiding JavaScript devs at every turn. now …
i dunno. I guess the masses have to "write" something. maybe this gives them something to do. -

i dunno. I guess the masses have to "write" something. maybe this gives them something to do.Serverside Javascript devs (aka NodeJS, Vue, React, whatever) are single handedly reinventing problems that were fixed decades ago.
For instance, dependency management - which was solved "back in the day" on Unix and Linux.
But hey, lets produce some problems to maintain a sense of productivity by fixing those problems.

And a minority of the "developers" actually tag their projects. An even smaller part makes it abundantly clear that the repo was vibe coded.
I've found out that one of the telltales is that Claude adds a contributor.
