Hello everyone, we are introducing a new rule to ensure the smooth and fair moderation of our instance: Do Not Block Admins or Moderators.
Open communication is essential for a healthy community. Blocking an admin prevents us from performing crucial duties, such as:- Informing you of a report made against your account.
- Issuing a warning.
- Discussing a potential suspension or appeal.
Blocking an admin or moderator will be treated as a refusal to cooperate with the instance's rules and will result in an immediate, irreversible suspension.
Thank you for your understanding.

#BSDCafe #BSDCafeAdmin #BSDCafeServices@stesnac @stefano from the outside: this does not look like a good policy, and an extra bad point: what is if someone a user blocked is then made moderator?
If you want that, better make one
@admin
and one@modteam
account, distribute credentials among those in the relevant teams, use these as official communication channel to members (and eMail), and prohibit blocking those only.(I donโt have any stakes on this, but it would be an immediate turn-off for me.)

@mirabilos @stesnac This is an excellent point of view. Since I am currently the only admin and moderator, I had adhered to what other instances have done. For now, I'm clarifying that the reference account is mine and that, if needed, specific accounts suitable for the purpose will be created.

@stefano hi I haven't blocked anyone yet and if you're the only moderator at present I have no intention to block you. In the future though if there are more moderators is there an easy way to tell who is a moderator? Sorry probably a silly question, but I don't know :)

@stefano @mirabilos @stesnac As another person for whom this is irrelevant, concur with the other person. I specifically follow you as a user because I want to read your posts, but your administration posts donโt relate to me.
For a user on your instance: While both accounts are exclusively you, a user can disagree with your personal opinions (within the rules of the instance) without disagreeing with your instance administration.

@apamment This is a good point - I'll clarify that for now I'm the only one, but in the future I'll create apposite accounts for moderation purposes
