She described the situation as ‘active with many different locations’ in the city…Throughout the day, around 50,000 people are expected to take to the streets in Giessen to protest against the #AfD (Alternative for Germany). Approximately 30 demonstrations, rallies, and vigils have been registered. Organizers include the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB), the Left Party, Attac, the Young Socialists (Jusos), and Grandmothers Against the Right.
