I have now made 9 leg-cords for my tentacle-monster. I plan to tie them all together in the middle, which will make 18 legs. How many legs should my monster have?

Despite the overwhelming majority telling me to stop now, I have decided to initially try for 30 legs (6 more leg-cords), and if that doesn't seem too many, I will try @jarriere 's suggestion and make the monster have 42 legs. Just Because.

I have finished my tentacle monster!
It ended up having 30 legs because I calculated I didn't have enough yarn to make 42 legs (and because my hands were tired).

I bound the legs together in the middle with basic whipping, with the same yarn.

Eyes? Tentacle monsters don't have to have eyes. Yes, it may look like a demented pom-pom, but if you toss it in the air, it definitely writhes like a tentacle monster.
