I recently ordered toothpaste from Walgreens. Tonight, about a week later, I received an email from Walgreens letting me know that I did not review my product, would I like to review it? I sat there laughing for 20 minutes, sat straight up, and then sincerely looked off into the distance and told myself, that’s it. I’m gonna write a 500 word review of toothpaste and somehow make it interesting and tie it into surveillance capitalism in 2026. I think 2026 is gonna be an interesting year for the blog. #Humor

@WeirdWriter earlier this year I planned to do a blog post on this - I started to put every product / service review request into an email folder called "a-month-of-review-requests". I have that set of emails, but I never wrote that blog post! Hmm...!
