Skirt on the waistband! Can't wait for kiddo to try it on so I can check level and make sure it hangs well without the pillow doing weird things
It's just 3 straight panels of 60" inch wide fabric. The arrangement of box pleats was faaaar trickier than I had anticipated.
Victorian waistbands are surprisingly sloppy by modern standards. The extra fabric is just folded down and hangs inside the skirt, adding bulk for the waist spring.
Trooper as always immediately hides under the hoops. He gets super excited when a hoop skirt is set up. Loves dashing in and out.
And yes, he will play hide and seek under the skirt while it is being worn.

@sewblue this looks like an excellent reason to start wearing more hoop skirts!
(those pleats give a really good look to the skirt, also!)

@adriananselmo Hai toccato il nervo. Se non paghiamo qualche servizio, gli stessi servizi saranno meno indipendenti, perché avranno meno risorse. Proprio in questi mesi stavo pensando di fare l'abbonamento a qualche blog gratuito per sostenerlo, e di sostenere anche l'istanza Mastodon di cui faccio parte.

@jones la mia magra consolazione è che tanto nel giro di qualche anno finiamo tutti a concimare la terra se ha senso, e che su scala universale siamo simpatiche scimmie che se la cantano e se la sonano 🤔 certo delle volte non aiuta, ma amen

@enzoa24 ma al di là dell'etica trovo impensabile che sia tutto sempre open e free... dietro quello che usiamo c'è il lavoro di qualcun altro. Ok non speculare ma sarebbe anche il caso di uscire dalla mentalità del web sempre gratis.

@adriananselmo Buongiorno Adriana. Anch'io la penso come te: se non si trova di meglio, si è praticamente costretti a usare i software vecchio stile. Sperando che qualcuno più competente di noi produca prima o poi qualche alternativa più etica.
