@mayintoronto Changed jobs during early COVID due to burn out. Caught COVID from a coworker at the new job who everyone knew was ignoring lockdown. Now I'm disabled but nobody will write that down, so I must throw myself into new jobs just for them to realize my body is destroyed and drive me out, resulting in perpetual burn out and anxiety about my ability to survive.People are the reason other people burn out. Burn out is an occupational injury. COVID is an occupational hazard.#finland

@luca @nationsblind @BPI @mastoblind Unfortunately I must address you to a big tech place, but, search for "sensory cube". It has colors but also tactile textures.

Ugh #Mastodon database use is up another $10...I appreciate things like quote posts being added to v4.5 etc. but I really feel like developers should prioritize rewriting the 'Remote content retention period code' to a more useful state. As it is now, all you can do to save remote cache space is destructive and non-reversible.The whole Fediverse is storing rarely if ever used remote content forever, thousands of servers... such a waste of money and disk space.https://masto.host/mastodon-content-retention-settings/

@rperezrosario I assumed programmer+fediverse=Linux, because that's my feed. But, also, over the three+decades I've been working in tech, I've seen more and more devs being Linux first devs, to the point where the company I work for now has been almost entirely Linux users among the dev team. I don't keep close tabs on everyone, but when it comes up, it's more Linux than anything else, with MacOS second. Everything cloud and web is Linux native, so it's all easier on Linux.
