@markus @larma @dino Only the time zone is transmitted not a precise location.

It's based on XEP-0202: Entity Time which is actually relatively widely deployed already. It's just that clients never presented that information in a nice, approachable way.

One can conceptualize a million different corner cases for which other solutions are more appropriate. But this one works right now for basically my entire contact list.
