@KevinMarks the phone came with a male-male C/A adapter, which is not useful for this specific task. perhaps they simply assume that "everyone" simply has a ziplock bag full of them by now

probably the biggest negative is the phone is larger and heavier than my old phone, and because of that my hand hurts after tinkering with it for a few hours

also I am extremely NOT A FAN of this ui designer trend of only allowing designer approved color swatches for color customization and/or algorithmic swatches. no precise control over how things look. sometimes I can get it close to how I want, but that only makes it worse because it is always off and it drives me crazy. just give me a fucking color picker or let me punch in hex codes.

i ordered some dongles so I can listen to music on the new phone (or be able to hear anything at all in phone calls womp womp), but honestly i'm giving serious consideration to getting a dedicated mp3 player

@aeva @klara I also had good experiences with Organic Maps. I find it very nice for walking directions and searching for public amenities like drinking fountains, fitness stations and public bathrooms near me, the openstreetmaps data is very good at this and having all the info available offline is great.

I can't use it for public transportation though so I still use other apps most of the time.
