ah, transferring files and accounts and stuff between phones is done via the "google app" now, and my old phone supports that. looks like it'll take about 3 hours to bring everything over via bluetooth 💀
@aeva what? They don't do usb any more? How come?

the ETA briefly popped up to 8 hours and then slowly drifted back down to 2.5 hours. I guess the windows file copy dialog author got poached by the android team at some point.

BTW, speaking of something futuristic. This is a page rendered by WordPress of something that's in Mastodon because the two products speak ActivityPub. Interop is fantastic, because things like this "just work" once you're hooked up to the same network.
