@juergen_hubert Thankfully, Italian cuisine is yummy! Panettone is a traditional yeasted bread filled with candied fruit and raisins served around the holidays (like a fruitcake but waaay better), would recommend grabbing it if you can find it 🍞

Well, I did get this book last year, but admittedly I haven't gotten far in reading it.

Non voleva essere generalista, è mirato esattamente ad una sola persona. Ci mancherebbe. "Russa" è per il contesto, non per dettare generalizzazioni. Avrei potuto dire "dell'Est" o "straniera", ma poi sì che sarebbe stato un trampolino per la generalizzazione.

Infinity Ward e Activision stavano facendo a cazzotti per chi avrebbe tenuto i diritti del gioco.
Infinity Ward era ben conscia di avere per le mani una serie di successo.
Se il gioco si fosse chiamato "Call of Duty: Qualcosa" i diritti sarebbero rimasti ad Activision, titolare del brand COD.
Se si fosse chiamato solo "Modern Warfare", sarebbe contato come gioco nuovo, di cui Infinity Ward avrebbe avuto i diritti.
Come sempre il copyright è un ring dove i potenti danno il loro peggio.

Arrivato a Santa Monica, vengo portato allo studio, dove incontro Zampella e altri membri del team.
Non posso fare a meno di notare che, mentre io mi riferisco al gioco come Modern Warfare, loro scandiscono a ogni occasione CALL OF DUTY DUE PUNTI MODERN WARFARE DUE.
C'era il fuso orario e non era ancora cominciata l'era degli smartphone. Non avevo modo di contattare al volo la PR italiana e chiedere lumi.
Lentamente, capisco cosa è realmente successo.

Prima di partire, la PR di Activision Italia, con la quale ormai avevo un rapporto di confidenza, mi fa una raccomandazione.
"Fabio, per l'amore del cielo, ricordati di non chiamarlo CALL OF DUTY. Questa volta si chiama solo MODERN WARFARE. Non sto a spiegarti perché ma è una questione sensibile."
La questione sensibile era un braccio di ferro tra Activision e Infinity Ward, lo studio fondato da Zampella. Erano storie di brand e diritti. Di capitalismo battle royale.
