@donamasta some people reported it may be a problem with ad blockers. Even I cannot play it in my browser Vivaldi 🤷♀️ now, it would have never been my choice to run ads on it... and I'm so curious what they may be. Of course I'm not touching a penny

Apparently my Fedi promo video is giving error messages on YouTube (shocker).
So I just logged on YouTube Studio for the first time in months to see what's going on... and found some interesting comments.
I'm not caffeinated enough to deliver zingers but I hope my response was adequate.
On the upside, I also saw a few comments of people who set up new accounts here, so yay.
As for the unplayable problem: no clue. But this is why I LOVE #PeerTube and on my website I'm using the PeerTube embed
@_elena i suspect it's not just you, someone told me they had the same issue for a 3blue1brown video.
maybe YouTube infrastructure is just crumbling. -

I generally avoid yt if I can use an alternative like peertube, and I almost never interact with yt videos, but your videos are definitely worth boosting 😀

It works for me and I am behind a strict pi-hole and two active ad-blockers on Vivaldi.
But I got an overlay-message that roughly said "If you are having trouble watching the video report it <here>".
I could imagine that this is some kind of youtube filter to push down content they don't like to get more reach. Or an anti-ad-blocker strategy.

I'm also on Vivaldi (with strict "no ads, no trackers" settings) and I use NextDNS.
With NextDNS turned off I still I couldn't play the video, so I thought it might have been something to do with my Vivaldi settings...

@_elena as for Adblock, well there is no extensions in incognito, I have a pi.hole that block most ads but not yt ones.

Torino - Genova and Genova - La Spezia are direct trips, getting to Brescia from either Genova or La Spezia requires changing train probably in Milan (there are also other options) which makes the trip longer and add chances of disruptive delays

@strypey @kitkat @Adam No, that's fair. MLS is really sensitive to race conditions -- if you receive two important messages out of order, your conversations can become illegible.
The way we're handling this is that the initiator of a conversation keeps an ordered feed of all the messages. They become the arbiter of ordering, for good or ill. It's not perfect, but it seems to work OK, and it maintains all the benefits of MLS.
