@evan Where is Only Office at here...? I have found that it is way more reliable compatibility wise than Libre Office and other solutions, plus the UI makes transitioning from Microsoft's office suite almost frictionless, given that they look almost identical

Thanks, everyone! I have intentionally used the first three, and Pages launches every time I download a word processing file, so I think I used it this month, too.

@evan The last time I bought MS Office was 2010, and for last 8 years I’ve had no issue opening MS Files in LibreOffice, which also does heroic work opening my really old image files like Mac PICT.

@aeva I think one of the benefits is that declarations are more self documented. In statically typed languages, I can go read a function signature or variable declaration and know all the information about it. I don’t need to go read the return statement of a function to know what type a variable will have. I don’t need to research what arguments are valid for a function, it just says it in the prototype.
