Looking for work.

  • Looking for work. Part-time permanent, or contract work specifically.

3 days a week (24 hours) is ideal.

Remote work is welcome, I am based in Sydney Australia and will be working during daylight hours here, but not necessarily 9am-5pm.

I am a software developer that likes clean code and functional programming.

Most of my experience has been as a full stack web developer and I have years of experience in both organisations as well as a freelancer, working directly with clients.

I am proficient across the entire stack: HTML, CSS + preprocessors, JavaScript + frameworks, SQL, Node, Python, Linux, Bash, Docker and more.

My favourite languages are Rust and Elm, and I have professional experience in both.

I am happy to learn anything to fill in the gaps, and I am confident I can. I have always enjoyed learning about the problem space that the software operates in, thinking about the "why" behind what I am doing makes the work more meaningful.

To learn more about me as a Software developer and see some of my past work please see my portfolio at https://sashin.dev

If you are interested in hiring me, please get in touch at chain-owl-empathy@duck.com

    Boosts are welcome and appreciated.

If you would prefer not to see these please mute the hashtag

I am still looking for work.I am a software developer, based in Sydney, Australia. I have years of experience across working within organisations as well as a freelancer engaging with clients directly. Most of my experience has been as a full stack web developer, I have a lot of experience designing user interfaces with CSS and other frameworks, as well as writing business logic on the backend (good with working with APIs, databases etc). I like being able to see the big picture, how everything interacts with each other, how the parts fit into a cohesive whole.I like being connected with the "why" of what I am doing. You can see some of my work, as well as the source code behind it here on my portfolio: https://sashin.devIdeally I would like a permanent part-time remote role. I am also open to contract work.If you are interested in hiring me, please get in touch at chain-owl-empathy@duck.com#FediHire #fedihired #getfedihired I want to start making this #fedihire posts more frequently. I am adding this tag #fedihiresashin so that anyone that would like to could mute it.Boosts appreciated :)

Good morning! I am looking for contract work. If you have 10-15 hours a week of work on a well defined technical project (‘we need to move 6 websites by this date’, ‘we need to hire a team to do an infra migration’, ‘we need to complete an accessibility audit and figure out next steps’, ‘we need to improve our docs / our onboarding process’), let me know. If you also need help getting to ‘well defined technical project’, I can also help!I am a technical product manager who likes to be the ‘glue’ in sticky technical situations and figure out how to come out of it with useful and usable software. I’m based in San Francisco but I also have years of experience working in Asia and Europe, and can navigate time zones / remote teams / cultures / communication styles. I have experience in working in open source. Send me an email: adrianna@futureethics.ai#GetFediHired #Califorrnia #Asia #europe

I'm just running my own #Mastodon instance here, so I don't have a ton of reach. I'd love it if any of you who are willing would boost/quote this post.My current SRE role is coming to an end, and the current market is scary. The most current project was getting 3 line-of-business applications (for a national retailer!) moved to AWS, with some infra design, and lots of Terraform and Ansible.I've got some Python chops, too.I'm looking for a new role, remote preferred, or local to the PDX area.https://linkedin.com/in/akulbeI'd love to get #FediHired#Portland #PDX
