@elduvelle @evan there is interesting speculation in the Guardian article I shared, related to congestion charging, etc etc. Who knows what drove the real decision here. Mind you, the numbers on car club vehicle density per head compared to European countries are pretty sad. I always found Zipcar convenient when there was one parked nearby, not so much if I had to walk 30 minutes to get to one.

India has ordered smartphone makers to pre-install the government's Sanchar Saathi app.
The app is available for Android and iOS and allows users to report fraud and spam.

@wec this is mindblowing. However, I do know someone that used to work there, and repeated this to them, and they confirmed that 1970s era code is at the heart of the (US) operation. Amazing.
