When someone follows you on Masto their bio text is part of the notification you receive.
Some biz operators or self-promoters use this as a way to essentially spam you with an ad for their $$ earning website, service, products etc.
When you get a notification of such a follow, what do you do?

I suppose sometimes it depends on their "following" numbers. The worst of them are following thousands of accounts, just spreading their ads.
Sometimes a new follower has some biz deets in their bio but are sincerely following to see your feed and interact. Prob not a concerted spam effort then?

I personally just blocked the "get my finance newsletter" guy who just followed me and follows 3500 others.
