  • Good morning Fedi friends! 🌈✨

So I spent the past couple of days dealing with some self-hosting headaches (foolish acts on my part, then forgetting some basic YunoHost rules). I had to wipe my VPS... then I had other issues, so this morning I had to restore it from a snapshot... And I couldn't connect Wallabag to my phone because of an API issue (but found a fix online).

I was feeling a bit so so... but then I went downstairs to make myself a cup of coffee.

I noticed my dad and my husband hunched over my dad's phone, trying to solve a problem. I made a cup of espresso and a few minutes in noticed they were still struggling. I asked what it was... I grabbed the phone, tweaked a setting and boom! Problem solved in 20 seconds.

Then my mom asked me for help transferring an Excel file from Signal to her email. Boom, done in 10 seconds (that was extremely easy to be fair).

Then my dad asked me for help with another phone problem. Solved in 15 seconds.

Now my parents are looking at me like I'm some sort of Einstein 😂

Self-hosting, VPS, Wallabag API issues are all forgotten 😁

Time to attempt the Sharkey installation again. Maybe the 5th time is the charm.

Wishing you all a great day!
