The LEGO Game Boy comes with 2 cartridges you build, Super Mario Land and Link's Awakening. When you build the Link's Awakening cartridge it includes a tiny LEGO battery which is not included when you build Super Mario Land because Super Mario Land did not have a save function, while Link's Awakening did.
Once the cartridges are built it's impossible to tell them apart and the battery can't be seen from the outside.
The LEGO cartridge has a LEGO battery so you can save on your LEGO Game Boy. ❤️
