@marcocc Determinate infrastrutture , importanti per il funzionamento "di tutto" (visto che quasi tutto ormai dipende da internet) dovrebbero essere se non di proprietà, quantomeno sotto il controllo dei Governi, e non totalmente private. E (2) bisognerebbe re-imparare come si faceva senza internet, giusto per avere un piano B già pronto in caso di problemi grossi.

@marcocc altro pensiero: idem per reti elettriche e idriche , tutto ciò è ampiamente bersaglio di guerre non convenzionali…. Servirebbe magari renderli più sicuri, studiare piani alternativi per resistere in caso di blackout ecc. (magari esistono già dei progetti ? Non so ma spero di sì !)

@jorgecandeias @Sobex I'm pretty sure they're cheaper than a Framework. The Pocket Reform certainly is.

@Sobex There's one other big downside: power management really isn't very good on most of the modules *yet*. I think some of the older modules have suspend, but hibernate is kinda working on the RK3588, no suspend yet. I do think this is a big barrier to adoption for many people.

@Sobex Usually arm64/aarch64, but there are some other modules, including a (soon to be revived) FPGA module (that one's just for some very particular developers), and there were some demos of a RISC-V module. But it's generally ARM64.

@Sobex @cwebber I'd have to dig into the specs to answer that, which I haven't, as the price I've seen spooked me out of it immediately.

(Which is known to be a fair bit more expensive than the x86 competition).
