@eniko this has pissed me off to no end as I frequently use YouTube to learn how to play songs on piano and guitar and I hit that button A LOT

@megabyteghost also doesn't yt-dlp require an account to log in with with a nonzero account it could get banned in the future for using it

@eniko @megabyteghost I use command line yt-dlp, no account needed. Just give it the URL, and off it goes.

@JeremiahFieldhaven @eniko @megabyteghost recently I've had to let it rely on my browser cookies to do the downloading though, otherwise it would find no streams. But maybe I need to upgrade my yt-dlp.

@halcy @lritter @datenwolf I think that's just the flattening effect that most AAA rendering techniques have, and a broader and older problem than just UE5. The big killer feature of PBR is not that it is more Based or whatever, it's that every serious production tool speaks it, so you can drop ship a team of hundreds of people in place (because it's "industry standard"), build something stylistically coherent, and then fire all of them.

One of my key takeaways from IETF123 was that we should specify #XMPP over WebTransport. However, I want to reiterate that, even without QUIC, XMPP can be pretty FAST.
