Back to Patuxent National Research Refuge! Two eastern bluebirds (same area, >1 hour apart), a pair of buffleheads, and a killdeer. That one is especially interesting to me—11 years ago, for no reason at all, I decided I wanted to go out and photograph some birds. I had no idea what I was doing—I didn't get serious for another 2–3 years—but a birder friend told me it was a killdeer. I never saw another one until today…

Yorick Peterse shared his post in the sub, where it was very well-received. Pictured: insights that are not visible to the public (I very rarely share such things, doing so seems harmless on this occasion).
No mention of Discord, Twitter, or X.
Also pictured: the wiki for FreeBSD Discord very recently cautioned that the FreeBSD Community Code of Conduct can not be enforced. I do not imagine that this caution relates to any recent misconduct there …

And, it's 169k without putting any effort into shrinking it. It'd fit on a floppy, even a Commodore 1541 floppy (though only barely, and probably not actually, as there's probably some overhead). I was a little worried about Qt Quick, because they apparently added JavaScript and something like HTML to Qt to make QML work, and I was concerned that would lead to bloat, and I'm sure it did, but not much.

Geez autocorrupt, I did not mean “medicon” and I did not mean “Jedi Forum” JUST LEAVE THE WEIRD WORDS THE WAY I WROTE THEM.
Who the heck taught this thing FediForum should be Jedi Forum?
