@mike avoiding to even mention any sort of compliance with established requirements (HIPPA?).
If this feature is enabled in the EU they should get fined heftily, as it is against our current AI established regulation (health & law enforcement purposes fall under high risk AI criteria).
"Daddy" Trump will probably swing in with harsher tone to get us to loosen our legislation, if that's the case.
@aeva I don't know if this is everyone's experience of ADHD but most of my life spent doing activities is spent intensely regretting not doing every other activity I am not presently doing. If I got a tattoo it would say "ALL REGRETS" (and then I would regret the time spent getting the tattoo because I could have been doing several other things during that time).
@Gina @mike Unfortunately, AI isn't really good at identifying women's health issues. So, "what could go wrong" could actually be fatal.https://www.newscientist.com/article/2510065-ai-chatbots-miss-urgent-issues-in-queries-about-womens-health/https://femtechnology.org/2025/07/30/built-to-fail-her-ais-invisible-bias-in-womens-health-and-how-we-fix-it-for-everyonehttps://www.business-humanrights.org/en/latest-news/uk-ai-tools-downplay-womens-health-issues-study-finds/

@evan a simple but effective way to avoid pile-ons is to not display the number of likes/dislikes. Whether I like something or not shouldn’t depend on others views so showing that stat seems unnecessary. Of course, that’s predicated on the assumption that using the like button actually means I like it. I use it for a variety of reasons ranging from “I agree” to “I saw this response but have nothing to add.”
