I'm visiting Montreal; just had a lovely dinner with @evan and @maj. I took the Metro (subway) to them, went to buy a ticket at the kiosk, and was pleasantly surprised it took my American credit card on the first try without trying to ask for a PIN or anything... before having a slow motion "NOOOOOO" moment when I realized I had put in the card with international transaction fees. C'est la vie.

I feel a little bad that I haven't been able to carry out self-hosting experiments for like a month now 😢
In my defense, I've been busy promoting the Fediverse (this Friday will mark my 3rd podcast interview - with @firesidefedi YAY, after @aprilorg and @podcast). ICYMI I was also in Berlin for #FediDay, where I had the honor to speak. And I've been busy editing foreign-language version of my Fedi promo video. It's been a fantastic month... but all these activities mean that I have forgotten EVERYTHING about #Docker so I need to go back to the basics and re-watch intro videos. I literally remember nothing, LOL.
