Had a story thought today

  • Had a story thought today.
The Sins siblings (I should probably come up with a better name eventually) were part of illegal experiments to artificially give people powers. Normally, they're born with them, but there was a desire to figure out how peoples' bodies have powers and replicate it as desired.
As Alois helped create the wealthiest company in the world, that company decided to sponsor this lab, giving them boatloads of money to do the experiments.

Their caretaker is a kind man who hates the scientists but is a coward, so all he does is his best to soothe them in the face of their torment. His ally is a child psychologist hired to try and avoid the kids developing enough hate to rebel. However the scientists largely ignore her, and she's courageous enough to try being a whistleblower, though in vain.

It all culminates in a last experiment where a young girl is tortured to an extreme degree in an effort to draw out incredible powers. She ends up almost dying, summons an eldritch god, who transfers her pain to the scientists, killing them with the shock. She runs away with the six other kids and grows up to become Lust, the genderfluid shapeshifter and empath.
There's an effort to recapture them, but that's when Alois, having some time ago realized the immorality of the company he's supported but unwilling to let go of the praise, finally decides to embezzle their coffers and disappear, bankrupting them, forcing the lab to shut down.
