Bondi's extortionary demand for the Minnesota voter rolls is curious.
-
They want it to go door to door or by social media to every single voter to intimidate and threaten their lives if they vote against Republicans.
If that doesn't work, they will fight and murder people to ensure the election is not certified.
Failing that, they will start wars to ensure they remain in control.
Fascism in a nutshell.

Sleeping on it. Have a good night!
Having worked with redacted data, I'm not so sure it's always hidden nowadays.
Safer to not release files at all.

@autonomousapps @bflipp @distractal The Minneapolis ICE brutality is horrific, but the federal government does have authority to enforce immigration laws. So their being there isnβt a priori illegitimate or unconstitutional in and of itself. But taking over the administration of elections from the state would be. The executive has no constitutional authority or role there.
@mattblaze @bflipp @distractal Ok, I do take your point. I don't think the federal government will attempt to literally control elections (seems like too much trouble). But I do think past patterns will continue and amplify, and increasingly violent suppression is in our future

Sufficient? It might also advance a court argument to have more released. It's a step in a process. I dunno. I just know what motivates a fascist.

@autonomousapps @bflipp @distractal I agree. But the fact that the administration is doing terrible things doesnβt mean that every other terrible thing they might want to do is equally likely or possible.
