The world is a lot right now. But we all gotta fight for love. Because the path of hate is so simple, so easy, so seductive.. black vs. white.. us vs. them.. you're either on our team, or you are our sworn enemy.. whereas the path of love is far, far more complicated and difficult.
But love is the only survivable path.
Hating someone is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. It’s only a matter of time before that hatred eats you -- and everyone else around you -- from within.

and if you want to know who I learned this from, it was everyone I met on the Sojourn Project immersive multi-state civil rights classrom immersion program along with my son Henry. They had every reason to hate based on the horrific things that we -- WE -- did to them. But there was no hate in them. I was like "how is this even possible".. but they showed me it was. @molly0xfff hey molly - maybe a dumb question but where does this money actually go? I don't really understand how money gets spent to put an ad on TV and who takes a cut. does it go from the PACs to local TV networks? big broadcasting conglomerates?
I'm aware i could google this, but maybe you have a post on it you could recommend?

The cryptocurrency industry super PACs dumped $14.2 million into the Illinois primaries. 90% of that – $12.8 million – was wasted, in that it went to opposing Democratic candidates who won their primaries (Stratton in the Senate race, Ford in H-07) or supporting their opponents.
Their only victories in the state were where they contributed money towards outcomes that were already highly likely. They opposed Robert Peters (H-02), who had been polling in third place and ultimately received 12% of the vote. They supported Bean (H-08) and incumbent Budzinski (H-13).

So, the new Firefly is a prequel. Or a midquel, between the end of Firefly and the beginning of Serenity. Which feels pointless, to me. Like, it's pre-spoiled.
I get the urge to get fan favorite Alan Tudyk back as Wash, but...I'm just not interested in that story? At least not interested enough to watch a cartoon.
I'd prefer it if they picked up right after Serenity. And, I'd love it if it was live action and picked up 20 years later. That's an interesting story that I'd watch.
