Oh no, Deep Space Nine auto-played after Starfleet Academy. Now I have to watch the whole thing for the third or fourth time. No other option, I guess.
Even at its worst (and it takes a while to get spinning nicely), DS9 is miles above the best of the current generation of Treks.

@swelljoe Ok. I have to watch DS9. I mean, I already had to, but now I _have_ to.

@shanecelis I find Q episodes kind of annoying, but I do like seeing him upset about losing a girl. It's just the one episode, I think, as she broke up with him and is up to some kind of crime, so will presumably be brought to justice by Odo or Sisko or whatever. So, he'll probably be back to his entirely annoying self soon.

"I'll be caught and executed"? By the Federation? The Federation executes people? That's some Section 31 Nazi shit. Do we have a writer going off-roading, or is their precedent for executions by the Federation and I just wasn't paying attention?

Apparently, there was General Order 7 in TOS which had the death penalty for visiting Talos IV, and Spock was nearly executed. But, in my head canon (which doesn't really include TOS, as I only watched it as a kid with my dad), the Federation is civilized.
