👋 Masto, est-ce qu'on organiserait pas une opération / un plan « Zéro personne seule à Noël » ? Genre on se retrouve, tous les volontaires sur un serveur de visio pour s'organiser un moment de convivialité pour celles et ceux qui se retrouvent isolées ce soir-là. On est beaucoup en rupture familiale, désocialisé, trop handicapé, trop fatigué, trop malade pour avoir un truc. C'est aussi un moment, où hélas on enregistre plus de suicides que le reste de l'année. Donc on prend son plaid, son pti plat préféré / confort-food à savourer devant l'écran, on se met un fond « feu de cheminée » et se retrouve chaipasoù sur internet pour casser l'isolement.
Je suggère juste / je sonde pour voir si ça intéresse pour l'instant.

@acratopege we did! We had a Matrix room at the time. I think it still exists somewhere, but if anyone wants to organize something that would be awesome 😊

@Gina was there a special purpose? Actually, I'm thinking about a "noone left behind on christmas day". An online place where people could connect to find friendly fellows. So people who are alone that day (be it illness, no family, being to far, whatever) can reach and have a good time anyway 😔

@acratopege I think it started as just that, a place to hang out during the holidays. Love the idea!

@algernon @oblomov this aligns closely with my experience
So far I don't block on the absence of those specific headers because I want RSS readers to be able to get through. For the most part they should mainly be fetching the feed URL and maybe the site's favicon, but there are exceptions as you noted.
Some reader software will fetch arbitrary pages (at the user's request) and check for the existence of a <link rel="alternate"> tag. Since I strongly encourage readers to follow via RSS I'd hate to ban them when they try to do so 😅

@algernon @ansuz thanks, that looks exactly like what I needed. I think I have enough scrapers attacking me these days that I hopefully won't need other people's logs ;-)

@oblomov @ansuz I'm not an Apache person, but this module might do the trick.
I also have about a week's worth of logs from mid-April this year, iirc, with full headers, but I'll have to double check. The bots haven't changed much since. If that'd be useful for you, I'll go and figure out where I put them... they're somewhere on my storage server, just gotta find which bucket.
