@oblomov @eniko @lina no idea if this applies here, but I remember reading something about multi-threading yielding more performance improvement than the number of threads in some cases, because some CPU architectures have memory cache per-core, so more threads means more cache memory which can overcome a bottleneck. As a rule of thumb, I believe multi-thread performance is hard to measure and hard to understand 😉

ah, it might actually be cache after all. if i drop resolution to 80x50 then scalar->threaded is only 4.4x

@informapirata @filippodb @diggita non ne so nulla di moderazione e registri pubblici. Il link che hai messo parla di "cancellazioni" e non è il mio caso. So solo che il post non è stato condiviso. Le cause e motivazioni, che possono essere tecniche o legittime, non le conosco, mi attengo ai fatti.

@DigiDavidex due monitor sono tranquillamente 150W/h. Il computer un altro centinaio (quì sono generoso ma ci cacciamo in mezzo l'uso occasionale del videoregistratore).
Totale 250W/h.
Per 24 ore sono 6KW.
Per 30 giorni sono 180KW.
A 0.40€/KW sono 72 €/mese.
