Oh... I am loving Returnal...I really like the fluidity of movement. But I wonder if the stages will get larger (no spoilers please) since they seem claustrophobic this early on.Also, and I repeat myself, I'm running this on Linux, on new 2025 hardware and everything is working flawlessly. So I'm loving Linux too.
I click on favorite a lot. A LOT.But sometimes, just as I'm gonna click on favorite I will notice the number of favorites and see "69"And instantly feel guilty that I'm about to ruin the magic.
I dislike games and any others apps creating regular folders in my Home directory. I don't mind if they make dot folders and are hidden but despise regular folder detritus.
My SO has kept watching it, making it a point to put it on when I'm in the room with her. Maybe as punishment because I was so adamant to watch it when it was announced. And so...Is Carol the best acted and best written villain of 2025? Of the decade?Has there been a better one so far?(Please note that I didn't ask whether Carol is a villain or not. She is. If you do not understand that, then there is nothing more we need discuss.)
Been trying to get through the first Dragon's Dogma. The thng that bothers me about it is the pawn system. Not the mechanics of it, but how it is presented in the game's world. These are entities that have agency up to a point. Until the Arisen calls on them and commands them. Basically slaves. Which IDK makes my stomach turn.I wish I could play the game entirely without pawns. And I really wish the game explained their existence in a morally satisfying way.
I don't know the source, but I saw this graphic. And once again, I wish a nice Canadian family would want to adopt me.(PS: Thanks in advance to anyone who knows the source of the graphic and can provide a link.)
No heroes. Just people.(My go to answer when friends ask who will save, or how things get better, or why did fascists retreat, or why resistance works, or why it matters that, or why it's not like the movies, or why... or why... or why...)
I love King's storytelling, but I've grown jaded about adaptations and interpretations of his work. But I have to say I enjoyed Welcome to Derry much more than I thought I would.
quite a while ago, months?, a year?M$ laid off quite a few people. And someone from M$ took to linkdin to advice those recently unemployed to use "AI" to get help. And somehow in the wording that was reported made me think, "this gotta be a white dude."Maybe I should ask some M$ dudes I still keep in contact with to confirm or deny my suspicions. But I feel fairly certain 😅
Person 1: I have a problem with X.Person 2: The problem with X really is Y.Me (thinking): Both X and Y are different categories of the same problem. X applies to Person 1 because of their past circumstances, Y applies to Person 2 because of their current environment. The root of both problems is probably capitalism, though several layers removed in such a way that it is difficult to connect. Instead of solidarity as they have a common enemy, both persons argue against each other . It's sad.
