What about egg nog? Is it ok to cry over spilled egg nog?

At this week's appointment they drew blood for labs. Last week, for the MRI, the tech “blew a hole" in the side of one arms’s vein and had to bandage that up and use the other arm. I warned the phlebotomist about the tricky vein. She took it as a challenge. Muttering something about IVs she thumped the vein, deftly slipped the "tap" in, and filled four vials in no time at all.

Don't mess with the phlebotomist.

@dillyd they come out in force after spring rains, usually pretty deep in the woods not too far from wet areas. Then they’ll mostly disappear until the next good period of rain.

@dillyd the little vernal pools are even starting to get some water which is great to see. Gotta have places for the red efts to grow up and retire to.

Seriously, the worst Tetris piece.

We bought our house 30 some years ago, just us and two neighbors surrounded by woods and hay fields. Years later the farmer died and heirs split the fields to sell off. It took a few years, but one by one big, bigger, and biggest houses went up. I was really into astrophotography at the time and it was a bummer as each new homeowner would fight back the rural darkness with bright outside lights. But an interesting thing happened, after a few months they’d turn them off. Darkness returned.
Not so last night as I walked down an otherwise dark road, the houses lit as if welcoming out of town guests or creating an alien landing strip. Still, aurora were bright enough and phone advanced enough to "stack" exposures, boost dim colors, and let the stars shine.

And I just had to see if aurora reflected off our “solar system” (solar panels).
