I got some bad news today. Or rather, I got no news at all, and that's the bad news, particularly in light of things I saw with my own eyes. But then again, when you think about it, the bad news is also kind of good news. Things didn't go the way I wanted, but they went exactly the way I expected them to. Meaning, they turned out worse than I'd hoped, but this outcome confirmed a suspicion I had. And so, it means I was right. Therefore, the bad news of today - confirmed by a lack of news - is actually what proves I was right all along.
Which maybe makes the bad news... good news?
