I don't know what the shooter was thinking, but right wing extremists commit the majority of terrorist violence that happens in the US, by far. So, playing this odds, the shooter is probably a right-wing extremist.We'll know more eventually. The likelihood of getting away clean from an assassination in broad daylight with cameras/crowd is low.

@MLE_online yeah, they're built real tough. I'm sure whatever is left of the engines is well past dead, but the chassis has to be sturdy as heck. Those things were in service for decades. Drop whatever running V8 you can find for real cheap in there (I'm sure it'll fit, whatever it is), good brakes and sturdy springs, and you've got yourself a runner. They're heavy, but Lemons isn't all that fast and looking cool is more important than winning.
