@bryan a couple of the alcohol-related deaths were most directly attributable to suicide, but it was addiction that put them in that spot. I think only one was directly from liver failure.* One of the auto deaths was also alcohol-related.*-But, surprisingly young. So, when I say "only one of my friends died of liver failure at 50" the word "only" is working really hard. The expected number is 0.

Tidal is really bad at tracking artists. I get notifications about shitty rappers with the same name as some artist I've liked in the past pretty regularly. There's a bedroom rapper named Dom who seemingly puts out a new album every two weeks, and because I liked some Dom (the lofi rock band) songs, Tidal really wants me to know about this rapper.At least they seem to have fixed the Joe Jackson artist page, which used to have a rapper with the same name, too.

Apparently, there was General Order 7 in TOS which had the death penalty for visiting Talos IV, and Spock was nearly executed. But, in my head canon (which doesn't really include TOS, as I only watched it as a kid with my dad), the Federation is civilized.

@bryan it was ok. Lentils were a bit overcooked and not exactly the right texture for the task, but as a platform for leftover curry it was fine. I won't be making it a habit but it wasn't bad. Lentils can remain an ingredient for dal and not a replacement for rice.

@matt I didn't say it was often. It's just more often than finding real serious bugs. It's mostly things like, "it assumed I wanted to keep backward compatibility with an old API endpoint, even though there are no consumers of the old API and killing old code is actually a benefit".I'm not convinced it's writing more bugs than I would have written in the same amount of code or that my bugs are more likely to be caught in review. I don't write 100% test coverage for any of my projects...
