I have rewritten the help text for this game because a few players were a bit confused about the gameplay. Now all the quirky mechanics are spelled out more explicitly.

C.O.W. version 1.1.0 released. This is the first release after the (victorious! ๐) #GameJam.
Houses now have interior design, blocks are no longer bouncy on the bottom side, the HUD and main menu got an overhaul and a full German translation was added. There are many smaller changes and bugfixes.

I've been using #FreeSoftware on my computers for years and I can't remember having to deal with ANY bullshit like this since then. I regret nothing. โ
Iโve been experimenting with flowers in #HadesRevisited today.
Most plants in the game need dirt to grow, but a few plants are special and resist the harsh conditions of the volcanic landscape and grow even on ash.
My vision for #HadesRevisited is for it to become a full-on terraforming and landscaping game. You start with almost nothing on a barren volcanic landscape and plant your first bushes. You do research on the planet and will unlock more and more plants over time, but each plant will have different needs, so you need to generate an atmosphere, or make the air colder, etc. etc. etc.
Well, at least thatโs the idea. Not there yet.
It is a very ambitious game project.

This update is all about plants.
New and better trees, finalized all the half-finished trees (coconut, cocoa), improved plant+flower pot, improved moss and vine behavior. And various items and blocks made from iron.

If a community member submits a good level in the level editor and I like it, it will get added. There are currently 4 levels, and maybe there will be more in the future. ๐

Been working on refining the trees in #HadesRevisited lately.
Cleaned/finished up a lot of incomplete or legacy stuff. Added missing blocks (trunks/leaves) added fruits for every tree species, fixed issues in the the tree generation code, added small tree variants, new tree shapes (e.g. olive tree).
#PSA: #CreativeCommons is NOT synonymous with #FreeCulture. Itโs only an overlap.
#CC paradoxically has licenses that are anti-Creative or anti-Commons. Any work under a NonCommercial or NoDerivatives restriction can NEVER be part of #FreeCulture.
CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA (any version) fall under free culture/software. Other CC licenses don't.
