Why must everything be delayed by spring loaded, squishy animation?
Why must the legibility of UI text suffer for skeuomorphic aesthetic?
“Reduce motion” and “reduce transparency” are binary accessibility settings, but iOS 26 makes me want a 0.75 reduction option.

Opinion after 1 day of Liquid Glass and 1 day of “reduce transparency” enabled:
Liquid Glass is trash, but the other UI changes are quite good!
Enabling “reduce transparency” disables Liquid Glass in iOS 26 and macOS 26. It is a necessity for me because of my astigmatism.
The resulting flat aesthetic then reveals many thoughtful, incremental UI improvements.
It also reveals a bunch of cringe small margin and border issues, but still a net positive.

@Jeremiah thank you for sharing this! I was checking out reactions on Reddit and several people seemed to say that the "reduce transparency" setting didn't change things much and they wish they'd revert back to iOS 18. I have several Apple devices - old iPad & iPhone - so I may take the jump to see what it's like...
