Something that always bothered me about #StarTrek
Vulcan is a planet with thinner atmosphere and a warm sun.
There are a lot of desertic areas and small seas.
If we use biology knowledge it would be logic to think Vulcan and Romulan would have a dark skin to protect them from sun.
In the series and movie the people from Vulcan are mostly white.
That does not make any sense.

@astronomerritt My grand-niece is named Lexi, which is inherently cool because it's got an X in it. 😎 And that's her actual name on her birth certificate, not a diminutive of Alexis, or Alexandra or anything like that.

@autonomysolidarity @hart Ich habe aufgrund meiner Cis-männlichen Sozialisation nicht die Erfahrung mit der Auseinandersetzung und den Traumata, die durch sexistische/sexualisierte Gewalt hervorgerufen werden. Aufgrund meiner weißen, kartoffeldeutschen Biografie fehlt es mir auch an einem tieferen Verständnis der Folgen und Traumata kolonialer/postkolonialer Gewalt. Aber ich habe ein Gefühl dafür, dass da viel Leid und Schmerz ist ...und von meiner Seite zumindest Solidarität mit den Betroffenen
